Blackpool are in advanced talks to sign Stoke striker Niall Ennis in a permanent deal following his impressive form on loan last season, sources have told Football Insider.
Ennis scored seven goals in 19 appearances during his loan stint at Blackpool in the second half of the 2024-25 campaign.
tangerines boss Steve Bruce is now keen to bring him back to the club permanently this summer.
Blackpool are now in advanced talks to sign Ennis, 26, as their transfer business ramps up.
Blackpool target return for loan star
Football Insider revealed on Wednesday (25 June) that Blackpool striker Jake Beesley has agreed a deal to join Burton Albion – paving the way for Ennis’ arrival.
The Stoke forward, who is under contract until June 2026, only joined the Potters in January 2024 but only played a fringe role prior to his loan move to Blackpool.

Ennis has made 26 appearances across all competitions at the bet365 Stadium, scoring two goals in around 1000 minutes of action.
The bulk of the forward’s senior experience has come in League One, where he has scored 35 goals in 145 appearances for five different clubs.
Ennis came through the ranks with Wolves and has also played for Burton, Shrewsbury, Plymouth, Doncaster and Blackburn.
Blackpool finalise Honeyman deal
Meanwhile, Blackpool have announced the signing of George Honeyman after Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (24 June) that they were set to win the race for his signature.
Honeyman, 30, has chosen to leave Millwall for Blackpool despite being offered a new deal at The Den.
A number of English and overseas clubs had shown an interest in former Sunderland man Honeyman.
However, League One side Blackpool have completed a deal and the midfielder will line up for Bruce’s side next term.
