James Tavernier looks to be facing the Rangers exit door square in the face.
The Englishman has been an ever-present at Ibrox since 2015, but could finally be at the end of the road with the Light Blues.
This comes off the back of the most recent Scottish Premiership season, where the 33-year-old failed to have his typical impact in G51.
Now, with a fresh transfer agreement set to be announced in Govan, the right back could be on his way out before the new campaign comes around.
Tavernier set for Rangers summer exit
The ex-Wigan Athletic man has been linked with a move away from the Gers before, but now it looks increasingly likely in the current window.
A difficult season on the domestic front for everyone assosiated with Rangers ended with Russell Martin coming in as head coach.
The former Southampton boss is likely to have his own ideas and be keen on bringing in players who fit his progressive, attacking style of play.
This may not be the case for Tavernier at this stage of his career, which may spell bad news for the veteran full-back.

It is fair to say that the chances of a departure have only grown as a deal for Bournemouth defender Max Aarons took a step closer to completion.
The 25-year-old has agreed to a temporary Ibrox switch and is likely to come in and demand a regular starting place in the back line.
If Tavernier’s place in the squad was already at risk, that will only get worse once this deal eventually goes through with the Cherries.
Aarons to replace Tavernier at Rangers
With Martin coming in as head coach alongside the takeover led by the 49ers and Andrew Cavenagh, it feels like a new era in Govan.
As a result, parting ways with a face who signifies the prior regime makes sense, especially with a younger alterative coming in.
Aarons could prove to be excellent in the Scottish Premiership, especially after his experiences last season in LaLiga with Valencia.
It will be interesting to see how this works out and what that means for Tavernier and his future as captain of the Light Blues.
