Leeds United have an almighty job on their hands as they prepare to build a squad capable of surviving in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke needs Premier League nous, and Leeds now appear to be targeting a move for Aaron Cresswell, who will leave West Ham United this summer.
Leeds want West Ham’s Cresswell
Cresswell is a player with substantial Premier League experience, having made over 300 appearances in the top flight.
However, his time at the London Stadium will end this summer as the Irons prepare to make significant changes to their squad.

However, they face competition from newly promoted Championship side Wrexham, who want to offer the defender a contract.
Leeds already have Junior Firpo as their first-choice left-back, and he has been in outstanding form this season.
However, he has been linked with an Elland Road exit, with Barcelona one of those credited with interest.
Sam Byram is another player Farke has at left-back, but he is out of contract this summer and is in talks over a new deal.
Cresswell would be a shrewd signing
The free transfer market is an avenue Leeds must explore as they look to flesh out their side with quality.
For a player of Cresswell’s experience and ability, a move for the left-back seems like a no-brainer for the Yorkshire club.
While Firpo is the undisputed first choice on the left-hand side, he needs competition, and there are doubts over his future.
Furthermore, Leeds will want to use set-pieces effectively next season, and Cresswell is a dead-ball specialist.
