Swedish youngster Lucas Bergvall joined Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2024. Despite his young age, the Sweden international quickly adapted to the pace of the Premier League, playing an important role in midfield.

In addition to being a key figure in the center of the park, Bergvall also became a fan favorite, even winning the Tottenham Official Supporters’ Club Player of the Season award.

The midfielder signed a contract extension in January 2025, committing to the club for six more years — a deal that also came with a substantial pay rise for the promising youngster.

    According to Lucas Bergvall’s current contract with Tottenham, the Swedish international earns a substantial weekly pay of £65,000 ($86,282) playing in London while his annual earnings reach £3.3 million ($4.8m).

    Top earners at Spurs

    At the top of the wage bill at Tottenham is club captain and legend Heung-min Son while English midfielder James Maddison follows at second place.

    Centre-back Cristian Romero is third while Timo Werner and Dejan Kulusevski are fourth and fifth, respectively.

    Top 5 earners in the Premier League

    Erling Haaland is the Premier League’s top-paid player, with a nine-year contract at Manchester City until 2034. Kevin De Bruyne is second, and Mohamed Salah is third.

    Casemiro is Manchester United’s only entry at fourth, and Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dijk is fifth.

    Despite their substantially high earnings, none of the Arsenal players make it to the top five list of the highest-paid players across the league.
