Newcastle United has three well-known names in the running to replace the departing player.

Newcastle United could be set to reunite with a former goalkeeper this summer.

Indeed, Newcastle United need to boost their homegrown quota in preparation for next season’s Champions League.

As per UEFA rules, clubs must submit a squad list containing at least four players who were on their books between the ages of 15 and 21 for a minimum of three years.

With that in mind, three names are in the frame to replace the outgoing John Ruddy.

Ruddy is set to leave Newcastle upon the expiration of his one-year contract and he could be replaced by one of three former academy graduates.
