Nick Woltemade receives ‘official £37,000-a-week offer’ after Everton talks

Nick Woltemade has been linked with a move to Everton this summer.

The striker has had a fantastic debut season in the Bundesliga as he helped Stuttgart win the German Cup.

As a result, interest is high in the 23-year-old, with Everton pursuing Woltemade.

A striker is needed at the Toffees as Dominic Calvert-Lewin looks destined to leave Goodison Park at the end June.

Now, David Moyes has received a much-needed boost in his pursuit of the German international.

‘No agreement in sight’ between Woltemade and Stuttgart

It has become clear that the Toffees need a new striker this summer to finally end their attacking woes.

Everton are aiming to beat Liverpool to Woltemade’s signature and have held inital talks over his availability.

However, Stuttgart are equally hopeful of keeping hold of their six foot six inches giant for the upcoming campaign.

Now, it has been reported by BILD reporter Julian Agarde (20 June) that contract negotiations between the two parties have stalled.

Woltemade is currently one of the lowest earners at Stuttgart, but the German club has now offered him an extension until 2029 with an annual salary of £1.92million (£37,000-a-week).

However, there is “no agreement in sight” with the striker wanting more money.

It is unclear if Stuttgart will make another offer, with the situation currently deadlocked.

Woltemade would be an excellent addition for Everton

If Everton do get the signing of Woltemade over the line, it would no doubt be a striker that should get Toffees fans excited.

On top of his goalscoring record, his height alone adds an extra dimension to Moyes’ attack that could prove to be crucial this season.

With it becoming clear that Woltemade is unlikely to stay at Stuttgart this summer, Everton need to ensure that the 23-year-old moves to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

On top of his ability, the striker’s experience at winning trophies may finally bring an end the Toffees’ awful silverware drought.
