Nottingham Forest will want to tie down their stars to new contracts as well as adding new players, with Ola Aina and Neco Williams looking set to agree new deals at the club.
There was early concern in the transfer window about the future of the Welshman as AC Milan were linked with Williams, but it has long been the plan at Forest to offer him a new contract.
The same can be said for Aina as well, with Forest triggering a one-year extension in Aina’s contract but seemingly failing to agree terms for a longer-term deal.
However, reports are now suggesting that both will sign new contracts at the City Ground, with sources telling Nottingham Forest News that Evangelos Marinakis could look to resolve the future of another crucial figure too.

Graeme Bailey has echoed what reports are claiming about the imminent contract agreements with Williams and Aina, with the transfer expert providing Nottingham Forest News with information about the process of the talks.
Bailey said: “I am told Forest have been working hard on Williams and Aina since the end of the season.
“There were some worries around both, and they really had interest, especially Aina – it really is a major win for Forest’s hierarchy to get this done. Forest really are performing off-field as well as on it.”
Undoubtedly brilliant news for Reds fans, but the positivity doesn’t stop there, as Bailey suggested that Marinakis could now look to tie Nuno Espírito Santo down to a new contract.
He added: “Next one – maybe Nuno? Don’t rule it out.”
The perfect reward for the Forest manager after a standout season at the City Ground, Marinakis may have also timed the approach perfectly, after previously delaying talks with Espírito Santo.

However, Nottingham Forest News was able to reveal that Forest weren’t keen on offering Nuno a new deal during the season, with the potential distraction of contract talks seen as something that could’ve seen the Portuguese boss lose focus in the crucial run-in.
With Forest securing European football for the first time in 30 years last season, it seems as if Marinakis’ choice to hold off on that new contract worked perfectly.
