Aston Villa could face a further blow in their efforts to overcome PSR issues.
The Villans are facing potential issues this summer, which could see them be forced into a player departure before the end of June.
As it stands, no deal has been mooted in B6 as Unai Emery looks to keep hold of his biggest names ahead of the new campaign.
The prospect of avoiding big-name sales could have been thrown into doubt as Nassef Sawiris could soon face a blow from the Premier League.
Aston Villa could be in PSR loophole blow
With monetary concerns around the Midlands right now, the hope of selling an asset has been at the back of many fans’ minds.
After Chelsea sold their Women’s team, Aston Villa could follow suit and bring in a sizable fee to help balance the books at Bodymoor Heath.
There is every chance that Sawiris could activate this at Villa Park, with the naming rights to the ground also potentially being assessed.
With that being said, NSWE may have now been dealt a blow in their efforts to sanction a big-money sale to help aid PSR concerns.
This comes after former Brentford and Leicester City manager Martin Allen shared his belief that work will be underway to close any financial loopholes, like the one utilised by the Blues.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Allen said: “It’s all pretty shocking to me, but not surprising.
“With the lawyers and legal people involved at top-level football, they’ll be looking at every opportunity to sell and where they can make more money to spend more money and get better results.
“I’m sure processes will be underway to change those rules so things like this [selling assets to sister companies] can’t happen.
“Sawiris will still take every chance to do so [complete a big-money sale], and so he should.
“Villa have got to maximise what they’ve got and they’re on a roll. They’ve got a brilliant manager, a decent squad of players, and they need to get more top players in and keep it fresh.“
Sawiris to fume with Premier League if loophole closes
The Egyptian billionaire hasn’t been shy in voicing his disdain for the financial rulings in the league, and their apparent favouritism to the so-called “big six”.
With NSWE and Co. having a net worth of over £13.8billion between them, there is plenty of money there, ready to be spent on the Villans.

That isn’t allowed as it stands, something which could soon change if the Women’s side or naming rights could be sold for a sizable fee.
If this goes on to be blocked by the Premier League, Sawiris has every right to question why Chelsea were allowed to get away with it, but Villa weren’t afforded the same luxury.
It will now be interesting to see what happens and what the potential loophole means for the sales of players like Morgan Rogers and Emi Martinez in B6.
