Charlotte Flair failed to win the WWE Women’s World Heavyweight Championship on Saturday night at WrestleMania 41, but her legendary father Ric Flair had a strong message to deliver to his daughter, her opponent Tiffany Stratton and the WWE Universe on X.
Like everything the Nature Boy says, I could almost hear him saying, “Woo!,” after reading the post. Let’s dig into it.
The 16-time world champion took to X and dropped a post that felt like a body slam aimed at the haters. It didn’t matter that Charlotte walked out of Las Vegas without the gold-what mattered to Ric was the respect he believes she’s owed. It wasn’t a long post, but the message was loud and clear.

Sometimes it appears the relationship between Ric and Charlotte is a bit rocky, but the legend is usually a good bet to acknowledge his daughter’s stellar work. If I’m being honest, there were only four above-average matches on Night 1 of WrestleMania 41.
The main event was insanely good with Paul Heyman double crossing Roman Reigns and CM Punk to side with Seth Rollins. Jacob Fatu’s US title win over LA Knight was very strong, Chad Gable’s win over short-notice opponent Rey Fenix was good–all things considered–but Charlotte and Tiffy’s match was right behind the final match.
Say what you want about Charlotte, but she is the greatest women’s wrestler of all time and one of the best regardless of gender.
Ric’s support may not erase the sting of a fanbase that has completely turned on his kid, but it’s a public show of solidarity that hits differently when it comes from someone who’s done it all in the ring. The Flair name means something in this business-always has, always will. Whether it’s to fans, peers, or critics, Ric’s words still carry weight, and he chose to use that voice to uplift his daughter and quiet the noise.
