Robin Propper appears to be edging towards the exit door at Rangers.
Although the centre-back only made the move to Ibrox last summer from FC Twente, his season in Light Blue was underwhelming.
Now, as Russell Martin looks to revamp the Rangers squad in the hope of more success, he could be set to leave Glasgow already.
Joseph Oosting makes Propper admission
Propper made 27 Scottish Premiership appearances for Rangers last season, but his form was inconsistent and often frustrating.
While John Souttar and Leon Balgoun were the preferred options at the back, injury issues meant the Bears often had to turn to Propper to lend a hand.
However, with Martin now at the helm and Andrew Cavenagh ready to support his manager, new options will be preferred to deliver progression on the pitch.
A reunion could be on the cards for the 31-year-old, though, with former side FC Twente interested in recruiting his services.
It has been reported that the Dutch side are willing to pay a fee of around £1million to take him away from Ibrox.
Propper is said to be preparing to hold talks with Martin before making a decision on where his future lies, but Twente are not being shy about their interest.
This comes as boss Joseph Oosting told Dutch outlet Oost (24 June): ” We have been in contact with Robin and I hope he returns.
“I’ve had a discussion with him and hopefully, it will work out in our favour.
“If it were up to me, the transfer would happen immediately, but I have learned in football it’s best to be cautious. You never know for sure.”
Rangers can sanction Propper exit
Propper was not a standout performer for Rangers last season and if Martin is serious about taking his side forward, these are the types of players to be offloading.

The defender may want to meet his new manager at Ibrox first, but the fact that Oosting has already held talks with his former player suggests his head is certainly not fully in the project at Ibrox.
While the support of the new investors should push the Light Blues further forward, progression will be slow and steady, and those who are going to be a part of it must be committed.
Rangers can do better than Propper, whose attention is seemingly divided anyway.
Therefore, striking a deal which allows the Gers to cash in would surely be the best outcome for all parties.
