Robin Propper could potentially have to wait before Rangers sanction the centre-back’s move this summer transfer window.
FC Twente have been linked with the Dutchman, having sold him to the Gers last summer.
Propper struggled at Ibrox this season, and reports suggest that the Light Blues might have paid £2.7million for the 31-year-old.
While the Ibrox faithful wouldn’t mind seeing the defender leave the Glaswegian outfit, a move away doesn’t look imminent.
Rangers pause Propper transfer amid concrete interest from Twente
Propper’s exit this summer has been put on hold for the time being, just like other transfer business at the Gers, Joshua Barrie says.
The Scottish journalist revealed that Twente have concrete interest in taking the 31-year-old back to Grolsch Veste in the coming weeks.
Barrie expects the Eredivisie outfit to re-sign the Dutch defender this summer, but it’s paused in the background for now.

Speaking on the Rangers Review (11 June), the journalist said: “Propper, believe again there is concrete interest from Twente. Last week, some reports came out of Holland that it was going to happen at the start of the week. Don’t believe that to be the case.
“I would still expect him to go this window, and would expect him to go back to Twente. But I guess in line with a lot of Rangers’ other transfer business, it’s kind of paused in the background somewhat.”

The Glaswegian outfit have Clinton Nsiala at their disposal, but some poor performances this season saw him lose his place in the starting lineup.
Propper’s transfer would undoubtedly be the right call from the Bears, but it remains to be seen how long the Light Blues will take to sanction a move.
