Wrexham are looking forward to having Ryan Hardie available for their pre-season tour down under.
Wrexham confirmed the signing of Hardie from Plymouth Argyle in a reported deal worth £700,000 as Phil Parkinson bolsters his attacking options ahead of the Championship campaign.
Plymouth’s verdict on Hardie will be music to Parkinson’s ears as the club praised both the ability and character of the striker.
How Hardie fits into the Wrexham side alongside the likes of Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez remains to be seen but the new signing has already mentioned two players that he is looking forward to playing with.

Speaking to the club’s official YouTube channel upon signing at the Racecourse Ground, Hardie revealed his excitement to join up once with Wrexham duo Dan Scarr and Callum Burton.
The trio were all at Plymouth together and are now set to reunite in North Wales in a bid to help the Red Dragons compete in the second tier.
Hardie stated: “They’re two great characters [Scarr and Burton], I’ve not spoke to them that much yet, I probably will over the coming days but I’m excited to get back with them. Their personalities I’ve been missing and it is going to be good fun to link up with again.”
Scarr will be out to prove a point in the Championship having had limited opportunities at Wrexham last season but has made 28 appearances in the second tier, leaving him as one of few players in the squad with experience at the level.
Burton will face a season being the understudy to Arthur Okonkwo once again but showed last season that he is more than capable of deputising when needed.

Hardie is known for his athleticism and ability to run the channels, he is a nuisance for opposition defenders from start to finish.
The 28-year-old striker was asked what the Wrexham fans can expect of him next season and his answer will excite.
Hardie stated: “They can see I’m a hard working number nine type, likes to run in behind and you’ll see a press from the front at a high tempo and any balls over the top that look like lost causes, I’ll chase them.”

Parkinson has added to an array of talent in his front line and attentions will now turn to midfield and defence in his recruitment drive.
Wrexham have offered contracts to Craig Dawson and Aaron Cresswell, whilst they are also pursuing a number of central midfielders.
