Wrexham’s first signing of the summer transfer window is now done and dusted, as Ryan Hardie arrives from Plymouth Argyle.
They say ‘good things come to those who wait’, and Wrexham fans will be hoping that is the case.
Other Championship clubs have been busy in the market, but Wrexham’s first signing of the summer has now been confirmed.
Wrexham have completed the signing of Plymouth Argyle striker Ryan Hardie on a three-year contract.
The Scottish striker hit 10 Championship goals for Argyle last season, but couldn’t prevent the Pilgrims from suffering relegation.
Hardie is now heading back to the Championship with Wrexham, with an undisclosed fee agreed for his transfer.

Hardie first joined Argyle on loan from Blackpool in 2020 and has racked up almost 250 appearances for the club.
The former Rangers talent has bagged 74 goals in that time, alongside 23 assists in an Argyle shirt.

Wrexham wanted Hardie in January and speculation back in May suggested Parkinson was back in for the Argyle star.
Now ready to make an impact at the STōK Cae Ras, Hardie has spoken to Wrexham’s official website about his move.
Hardie noted that joining Wrexham ahead of pre-season is a ‘massive benefit’ for him, as he now has time to get to know Phil Parkinson and the Wrexham squad.
Hardie also pointed to Wrexham’s ‘family-oriented’ nature, hailing the city for being fully invested in Wrexham.
The striker vowed to ‘give everything’ for the Wrexham cause and is looking forward to playing more Championship football.
“I’m delighted to get the move done, I’m really happy to get it done so early and I cannot wait to get going,” said Hardie.
“To get a full pre-season will be a massive benefit, to get integrated into the squad and learn the way the manager plays and get to know everyone will be important.
“The last couple of seasons, it’s been good getting experience in the EFL Championship and it’s experience I can lean on now. I’ve enjoyed playing there, and I’ve managed to score a few goals, so hopefully that can continue this season.
“I love how family-oriented the Club is, the community is all together and it really is a one-club City. Everything is to do with the football, and I’m really excited to be a part of that – I’ll give everything I’ve got for the badge,” he added.

Hardie scored the penalty to knock Liverpool out of the FA Cup last season and has consistently shown his ability to threaten defences with his pace.
The 28-year-old represents a significant addition to Wrexham’s attack and boss Parkinson is a happy man.
Parkinson admitted that he is ‘delighted’ to have secured Hardie’s signature, believing that Wrexham fans will give him a warm welcome.
“I’m delighted to welcome Ryan Hardie to the Club,” said Parkinson. “We’re looking forward to working with him and I’m sure everyone will give him a warm welcome to the STōK Cae Ras,” he added.
Steven Fletcher is leaving Wrexham this summer and Hardie arrives just as his fellow Scot departs.
Wrexham’s attacking options may undergo further changes this summer, but Hardie represents a fine start to a crucial transfer window.
