If players were to go two months without pay at Sheffield Wednesday, per FIFA rules, they would be able to hand in a 15-day notice period, where they would then leave the club as a free agent. It is surely inevitable now that, if Chansiri is unable to fix the issues imminently, Sheffield Wednesday could have a significant concern with regard to player retention ahead of the 2025/26 season.
