Sky Sports: Everton Want to Sign ‘Monster’ Forward Amid Calvert-Lewin Update

Everton are considering a summer move for Villarreal forward Thierno Barry, Sky Sports News journalist Rob Dorsett has revealed.

The Toffees have reportedly identified the French striker as a potential replacement for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, whose future at the club remains in doubt with two weeks left on his contract.

Dorsett claims Everton are considering several strikers at the moment, and Barry is thought to be an appealing option following his breakout year in La Liga.

The 22-year-old, who joined Villarreal from Basel last summer, is under contract with the Spanish club until June 2029.

According to Dorsett, Everton have yet to make a decision on Calvert-Lewin’s future and are considering several striker options ahead of his contract expiry:

Barry, praised as a ‘monster’, was prolific for Villarreal last season, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists in just 25 La Liga starts.

The France U21 international also netted eight goals in just four appearances for Basel before making the move to Spain in August last year.

Everton have announced they will part ways with veteran full-backs Ashley Young and Seamus Coleman when their contracts expire this month, and have identified Manchester City outcast Kyle Walker as a potential replacement.

The Toffees are believed to have reached an agreement over personal terms with the England international, who spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at AC Milan.
