According to Football Insider, Everton have earmarked Hamza Igamane of Rangers as a potential candidate this summer. The report claims the Light Blues could ‘gamble’ with a deal for the Moroccan international. Igamane only joined the club last summer but he is already being linked with a move away from Ibrox. As well as Everton, Premier League rivals West Ham and Brentford are also in the picture to potentially sign the 22-year-old forward.
The report claims that talent scouts are ‘unconvinced’ over Igamane’s ability to make the leap up to Premier League football but ‘the potential upside is huge if the forward can make the grade’. Igamane contributed 16 goals in all competitions last season for Rangers, which is a respectable return considering he wasn’t always a starting option at Ibrox.
Everton are in real need of new creative outlets this summer, having struggled significantly on the goal-scoring front last season compared to their rivals. With 44 goals on their tally, only the three relegated clubs scored fewer goals than the Toffees last season.
Everton could offer Beto to Rangers in player swap

Beto scored 12 goals in all competitions last season, putting him behind Igamane in terms of numbers but still with a solid return. However, Everton’s willing to listen to offers suggests they are looking for something a bit different when it comes to their centre-forward. If Igamane is the player of their choice, offering up Beto as a like-for-like swap could benefit all parties involved.
