The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust (THST) have confirmed that they will meet with the club’s new CEO, Vinai Venkatesham, to voice their concerns, and they have asked fans to give their opinion via a survey ahead of the meeting.
A new era is now underway at Tottenham Hotspur, with Thomas Frank bringing his trusted staff with him to Hotspur Way.
Apart from changes to the first-team coaching staff, there have also been changes at board level, with Vinai Venkatesham taking over as the club’s new CEO and becoming Daniel Levy’s right-hand man.
A Tottenham fan group welcomed the appointment and called for transparency on how this will affect Levy’s role, and now THST will be allowed to speak to the new appointee.
THST asks fans share their concerns to be relayed to Vinai Venkatesham
During his time at Arsenal, Venkatesham received praise for his record on fan engagement, and he is now seemingly not wasting any time in trying to establish a relationship with Tottenham supporters.
THST have now revealed that they will meet with the 44-year-old to discuss several issues that fall within their remit.
The Trust has also organised a survey before they meet with Venkatesham so that a broad coalition of supporters can express their concerns, which will be relayed to the new Tottenham CEO.
A step in the right direction by Tottenham
There was a feeling among fans that under Daniel Levy, the club have often not been proactive in addressing the concerns of the supporters.
The appointment of Venkatesham is a step towards rectifying that by the club, and it is good to see that the new CEO is making interaction with the fans a priority.
Venkatesham’s arrival means that Scott Munn is expected to be relieved of his duties as Tottenham’s chief football officer.
