Tottenham have begun talks to sign Brentford star Mbeumo, while Wissa could be next following on from Frank’s appointment as head coach. The duo, who scored 39 Premier League goals between them last season, are high on Frank’s wish list as he looks to reshape Spurs’ attack, with players he is fairly familiar with from the Gtech Community Stadium.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Mbeumo is also a target for Manchester United, who recently had a bid worth up to £55 million rejected. Brentford value the Cameroon international at over £60m and will let him leave if the price is right. Spurs are hopeful Frank’s strong relationship with Mbeumo, whom he signed in 2019 at Brentford, could give them the edge.
