Fans have their eyes on the 2025/26 season after the fixtures were released this morning – and the difficulty of Wolves’ start has now been assessed.
Wolves are set for a difficult first game with Manchester City the opponents at Molineux.
It will be the first time Wolves have played their opening fixture at home since gaining promotion back to the Premier League in 2018/19.
Currently, some fans are a little nervous about the season to come.
Wolves have yet to do any transfer business, although Fer Lopez is coming to do his medical, and they have sold Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri.
The general feeling for Wolves fans over the 2025/26 fixtures is one of worry – and seemingly, data has confirmed the difficulty of the club’s start.

Potentially, next season could be another difficult one.
That said, Vitor Pereira has done a terrific job at the helm so far and could do well if he is backed appropriately by his superiors.
But Wolves have it tough at the start of 2025/26.
And Opta data has now shared where Wolves rank in terms of which Premier League clubs have the hardest starts.
Only five clubs have a more difficult start across the first five games than Wolves:

Wolves’ fixtures relent after first five games
It is certainly another tricky start to a season for Wolves, but it’s easier than 2024/25 – which was inevitable.
Last time around, Wolves had the hardest start of any club in the Premier League – and that led to weeks of struggle under Gary O’Neil.
Ultimately, that start made life very difficult for him and eventually he was sacked by the club in December.
When you factor in the next five games for Wolves, so taking into account the first 10 games, the club’s fixture list actually becomes the easiest with an Opta score of 91.2.
From gameweek six onwards, Wolves have Tottenham Hotspur away, Brighton at home, Sunderland away, Burnley at home and Fulham away, which data suggests makes life a bit easier for Wolves.
