Despite having money to play with, Wolves could still be tempted to pull the trigger on a budget free-agent signing this summer.
The Molineux outfit have acted quickly to fill the void of Matheus Cunha, with Wolves closing in on Fer Lopez.
Rayan Ait Nouri’s place, however, is yet to be filled, with target Gerard Martin happy to stay at Barcelona amid interest from Wolves.
So with no left-back replacement found as of yet, Fosun could be tempted to swoop in for a gettable option – namely, the free-agent signing of Grady Diangana.
Wolves target Grady Diangana rejects Saudi move
Wolves’ interest in Diangana first dates back to May 2024, a time in which the winger was said to be on Gary O’Neil’s radar.
Those links would resurface in April of this year, after it was revealed Diangana was hoping for a Wolves move.
Following his recent release from West Brom, Diangana is now a free agent and on the search for a new club.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the DR Congo international has been approached by Saudi side Al Ettifaq over a possible move.
The winger, though, is reportedly keen on staying in Europe, potentially opening the door for Wolves to make an offer.
Diangana has earned rave reviews
As well as Saudi interest, Valencia are also said to be eyeing a move for the 27-year-old, a team which is actually managed by Diangana’s former West Brom manager, Carlos Corberan.
The Spanish boss spent two years managing Diangana at the Hawthorns and is seemingly a big fan of the winger’s talents.
Speaking back in 2023, after Diangana’s goal versus Coventry, Coberan made the lofty claim of comparing the DR Congo international to Real Madrid legend Raul.

“The first goal was the quality of Grady,” Corberan said via the Shropshire Star.
“First was a collective action that we finished (shot) to the hands of the keeper and Grady was showing how connected he is with the game.
“This game can be easy but normally not every player goes there to go for the second ball.
“I remember that Raul, the Real Madrid player, he scored many goals in his career, being more connected with these actions than the defender, and Diangana scored a goal that made me very pleased because he scored a goal showing he is very connected with the game.”
